This is nice . Just the background is overexposed. Good subject.

This has potential. I think that you need to work on the composition of your photos more. Try to get some diffrent angles and a more interesting perspective, even if it means getting your clothes a bit dirty, and I think you could make a really cool shot from this log. Keep working on it.
